VItal Diagnostics ATAC 8000 Chemistry Analyzer

Vital Diagnostics ATAC 8000 Chemistry Analyzer

The Clinical Data/Vital Diagnostics ATAC 8000 Analyzer contains a 486-type computer, which runs the analyzer. The MAC computer is used as an operator terminal and as a Data Management System.

The basic function of the analyzer is to mix reagent with serum, incubate, read the absorbance at the appropriate wavelength, and calculate the result. This is accomplished using stepping motors, Peltier thermal-electric devices, a solid state photometer, and a computer operational program.

Features of the Clinical Data/Vital Diagnostics ATAC 8000:
Refrigerated Reagent Tray The Vital Diagnostics ATAC 8000 holds 40 individual ATAC-PAK reagents for a maximum of a 6,000 test capacity, providing over 12 hours of walk-away operation. On board refrigeration assures reagent stability and continuous inventory monitoring enables the operator to know the number of tests remaining in each PAK.

Vital Diagnostics ATAC-PAK reagents are pre-filled and pre-measured. No measuring or pipetting is required. All ATAC-PAK reagents have optimal stability to eliminate reagent waste, decreasing the overall cost per test. Integrated ISE Module The integrated ISE Module utilizes a proprietary, solid state, electrode design for Na, K, Cl, and CO2. No filling or pre-treatment required solution, only on demand test results as requested.

High Capacity Sample Chamber 70 positions are available for disposable micro sample cups, standard vacutainer tubes, standards, controls, and STAT samples.

Cuvette Assembly 25 cuvettes are precision matched for accuracy and reproducibility. Positioned in a peltier regulated housing, the glass cuvettes are cleaned and reused automatically.

Cuvette Wash Assembly
The glass cuvettes are automatically washed and rinsed eliminating the need for costly disposables. The washing station employs a unique design for both washing and drying to assure each cuvette gives the highest quality results. On-Board Diluent There is no need for a separate water system. The ATAC 8000 is independent of the laboratory’s water supply and has an onboard diluent tank for easy filling. An optional 20 liter carboy is available for high volume users.

Sample Probe Module
The unique tapered design and automatic washing eliminates sample carryover. The reagents are pre-heated to 37°C as they are delivered through the probe providing optimal reagent temperature and consistent measurements for improved performance. Bi-directional Communication Clinical Data POL Laboratory Information System sends and receives information from interfaced instruments enabling the user to operate multiple systems simultaneously, affording maximum efficiency.

Complete Data Collection
All patient billing, demographic information and test results are sorted and stored in individual patient files for permanent record. Hard disk drive storage space provides years of easy access to the database.

Versatile Customization and Reporting Virtually every screen has a function to allow customization by the operator for maximum compatibility with each laboratory’s unique needs. This includes the ability to create user definable patient sample and cumulative reports, cumulative result graphing, incomplete test reports and abnormal result reports sorted by physician, location, or date allowing efficient review. Billing reports, medical necessity documentation and ABN generation, and cost revenue analysis reports available as an added option.

Multiple Interface Capability With customized programming, up to six laboratory instruments can be interfaced at one time. More than 200 interfaces are available for current hematology, immunoassay, urinalysis, and other instruments. Self-Monitoring of Quality Control Data Full Westguard rules store “actions taken”; storage of linearity and calibration data; Levy-Jennings graphs; tabular and condensed reports.
